Tony Blair, just back from Buckingham Palace announces the UK General Election for 2005 to be held on 5th May - 05/05/05 in anyone's language.
The BBC coverage shows clips of the three main party leaders announcements. Tony trying not to look cocky. Michael Howard looks shifty - keeps looking down at his notes. Charles Kennedy trying to take the moral high ground again.
Because he was in Downing Street of course Blair stood alone in front of No 10. To me this is much cleaner than the Howard/Kennedy shots where the pumped up apparatchiks crowded around their beloved leaders are more interesting to look at than the great men themselves.
I think this is going to be fun.
